Autumn 2010

We would like to thank all our guests for a great summer season, as well as all the guides in our team who helped to make it so successful.

Andi and I are currently trekking & mountaineering in China/Tibet until mid October. We may not be able to respond to your enquiries for the winter season immediately but will do so upon our return.

Take a look at this video showing clips of Winter 2010 to whet your appetite.

Enjoy the autumn and hope to see you soon!

We head off up the Taschach Valley at the far end of the Pitztal (Pitz Valley) aiming for the Taschachhaus (2434m). During the winter the hut is self-catering so as soon as we have lit the fire we will cook our evening meal together. The meal will be on the basic side and all supplies required will be carried by the group.

Our next hut is the Vernagt Hut (2755m) which we will reach by crossing the Taschach Glacier. Here we will prepare ourselves for the highlight of the tour, climbing the Wildspitze (3770m), Austria's second highest mountain, from the summit of which we will see the ice and snow covered Ötztal Alps.

After this long and impressive day we will follow a large S curve on the Taschach Glacier and end up back at the Taschachhaus from where we will walk back down to the valley on the last day.
