We start this introductory week at a climbing spot near St Johann in Tirol to get a feel for first-time climbing on rock.
We will then move onto a via ferrata in order to get used to heights. Via ferrata is Italian for "iron road" and in German is known as a klettersteig. It is a mountain route which is equipped with fixed cables, foot holds and ladders attached to the rock and used to ascend and descend.
On the third day we move to the Wilden Kaiser Mountains where we will spend the afternoon climbing long, well-protected routes.
Our first Kaiser summit (Goinger Halt) will be attempted on the fourth day.
On the last day we will go on a via ferrata to the highest of the Wilden Kaiser peaks, the Ellmauer Halt and then descend into the valley.
This area is also fantastic for challenging walking and hiking. If there are people in your group who do not necessarily want to scramble/climb we can organise guided day hikes. Please contact us for more information.
Highlights: First climbs in the Wilder Kaiser mountains
Fitness: Able to walk for 4 - 6 hours per day, no problem with heights!
Group: Maximum of 5 participants per Mountain Guide
Price: All prices include guiding and half board accommodation
