Ideal for anyone who would like to try high altitude mountaineering, this tour starts in Vent in the the Ötz Valley. 

From Vent we hike up to the Hochjoch Hospiz Hut, our base for the first night.

On Saturday we cross a glacier using harnesses, ropes, crampons and ice picks, and  climb a 3000m peak.  We sleep at the Brandenburger Hut, one of the most spectacularly located huts in the Eastern Alps with fabulous views.

On Sunday after sunrise we will descend over the glacier, back to the walking path to Vent.

Highlights:   Watching sunrise from the Brandenburger Hut. 

Fitness:         Able to walk for 4 - 6 hours per day
