Ski tours are ascents and descents of powder slopes...

The training program is designed to take intermediate and experienced skiers off the slopes and into the so called back country where ascents are made either on ski touring skis with skins or using lifts. Descents are on off-piste or powder slopes.

Participants focus on:

• Tour planning
• Off-piste skiing techniques
• Ascent techniques
• Snow and avalanche awareness
• Ski tour equipment and how to use it correctly.

We use the Kitzbüheler Alpen for this course as there are many touring and off-piste possibilities with or without the use of lifts.

Areas we may visit include: Fieberbrunn, Kitzbühel, Kirchberg, Ellmau, Steinplatte
