Ski Traverse Haute Route - Chamonix to Zermatt |

See photos Probably the most famous ski traverse in the Alps, the Haute Route offers some of the most breathtaking scenery, from high passes to huge glaciers and huts that are attached like birds nests to the cliffs. We start in Argentiere near Chamonix and go up on the Grand Montes Gondola. Our first descent is over the Argentiere Glacier gives us a taste of what is to come over the next days - the imposing glacial scenery and high mountains of the Walliser Alps, the snow covered high alpine pastures, pretty valleys and so on. Long ascents are rewarded with fantastic descents! From the Cabane de Bertol Hut, on our last night of the tour, we walk over the Glacier du Mont Minne up to the summit of the Tete Blanche (3707m). The last amazing slope down takes us over the Stockji Glacier, the Tiefmatten Glacier and the Zmutt Glacier all the way down to Zermatt, passing by the north face of the Matterhorn.
